Foram revelados hoje os indicados The Game Awards, considerada a maior premiação mundial do universo dos videogames. O anúncio veio por meio de vídeo especial postado na página do evento no YouTube (www.youtube.com/thegameawards14), no qual o apresentador e jornalista canadense Geoff Keighley deu detalhes sobre a festa e sobre os concorrentes nas 30 categorias gerais.

Entre os jogos, os mais lembrados foram ''God of War'' e ''Red Dead Redemption 2'', com oito indicações cada um, incluindo nas disputas por jogo do ano, melhor direção de arte e melhor jogo de ação/aventura. ''Marvel’s Spider-Man'' aparece logo em seguida, brigando por sete troféus, casos de melhor narrativa e melhor trilha sonora.

No ano passado, o grande destaque foi ''The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild'', vencedor de três prêmios, entre eles jogo do ano.

O evento também abre espaço para celebrar destaques do e-sports, tendo sete categorias específicas. Sucessos como ''Fortnite'', ''League os Legends'' e ''Counter-Strike: Global Offensive'' aparecem entre os finalistas de melhor jogo.

The Game Awards terá cerimônia transmitida on-line em 6 de dezembro, a partir das 23h30, no YouTube.
